There is an exciting
new movement in North Shore high schools to create the very first
Interscholastic Sailing Circuit in BC. Students are forming teams
or clubs where students can learn to sail, train twice weekly, and
then compete against one another at a fun weekend regatta held at
the end of the season. The program debuted in Spring 2006 and due
to its popularity and great success in exposing the sport to a large
number of students, we are excited to announce Spring 2010
season commencing on April 26th.
The program runs for 5 weeks, with practices taking place on Mondays
and Wednesdays.
If your school is not already involved, consider starting up a team this Fall or Spring! This is a unique opportunity available to students with or without any sailing experience at all, and surely an experience to be one of the highlights of their school years.
