High School Sailing Program

  One of the newer programs offered at WVYC, the High School Sailing Program is a great way for students to get into sailing. The program is designed to offer technical benefits as well as social; students can sign up with their friends or join the team solo and meet lots of people.

  On the technical side, participants will learn sailing skills following the Whitesail I, II and III curriculum. Training sessions are held twice per week for five weeks at the West Vancouver Yacht Club. At the end of the program, WVYC will host a fun weekend-long regatta where participants will have a chance to get a taste of racing, show off their new skills and meet students from other schools that also enjoy sailing. Those who demonstrate keen interest in sailing will be recommended to join the North Shore Sailing Team (NSST).

The course will run Mondays and Wednesdays starting April 25th and concluding on May 25th.
