In 1973 the Club bought its first outstation - Kendrick Island; it rests 22nm from the club home base in West Vancouver. It is about a mile long, an average of a quarter–mile wide and lies at the eastern entrance to Gabriola Pass. It is undeveloped except for mooring floats. Club members respect its untouched, park-like state and are careful to retain its natural beauty. Members and their onboard guests marvel at the fantastic sandstone outcroppings, carved by wind and water, the many arbutus trees, and the wonderful spring displays of wild flowers. Kendrick is a perfect jumping-off point for cruising the Gulf Islands.

There are 400 linear feet of moorage at Kendrick that were completely renovated in January 2006. Four mooring balls are available for those who like to "anchor out"; they were last serviced in 2003. It is reported that the surrounding area is poor holding ground.

There is a BBQ installed on the dock but no charcoal is stored ashore. Members are advised to pick up charcoal at the club (in the mast shed) prior to departure. During high season rafting may be necessary and all members are asked to accommodate their fellow members should the need arise.
