| Whether they
be a weekend destination or a stop-over as part of a longer cruise,
the West Vancouver Yacht Club outstations are conveniently located
for either desire. Of the Club’s four facilities, the signature
outstation at Elliott Bay is the most
developed and only a 1.5 hour sail from the Club’s home base.
Cruising the Gulf Islands? Kendrick Island,
four hours away, at the mouth of Gabriola Pass, is a logical first
stop. If Desolation
Sound beckons, the Club’s joint marina operation in Duncan
Cove in Pender Harbour is a day's
cruise away.
Our newest outstation facility at
Telegraph Harbour
provides for a circular weekend getaway, first night at Kendrick
and a second night at Telegraph and then home via Porlier Pass.
This facility is open to all members from May 1, 2010. Please read
this important information before your visit.
So whatever the direction
or length of cruise, a safe convenient port is available to the
members of the West Vancouver Yacht Club.
The Club has many affiliations
with reciprocal clubs up and down
the BC and Washington Coast, even as far as Hawaii. Arrangements
for each club differ; contact ahead of time is advised. Reciprocity
is not extended to our outstations.
